In collaboration with the partners from Rhei Life, on 5 March 2020 in Niš (The Tami Residence Hotel)  Vemax Pharma organized an expert meeting at which it presented new products from its range.

In front of more than 100 physicians from Niš, Kragujevac and most other cities from South and East Serbia, the company presented the clinical possibilities of hydrolyzed ligin (Filtrum®) in the treatment of diarrhea of various causes, the combination of chlorolyzed lignin and lactulose (Salapon®) in the treatment of atopic dermatitis and gastrointestinal pathology, and the state-of-the-art hepatoprotector (Hepalife®) in numerous hepatological indications.

The symposium topics and lecturers were carefully selected to cover all aspects of the indication area and possible clinical applications of new products:

A multidisciplinary approach to neuropathy therapy is a model that Vemax Pharma promotes through daily communication with various groups of physicians – neurologists, neurosurgeons, physiatrists, orthopedists, rheumatologists, primary care physicians.

For this reason, in Vrdnik, at the end of February 2020, in front of more than 60 physicians from all over Serbia, we held a symposium on the following topic: A comprehensive clinical approach in the treatment of neuropathies, at which we highlighted the clear place of our products Neuronal® and Combinerv® in the treatment of neuropathies of various causes.

This was an opportunity to exchange professional views and experiences in the application of our products, but also to socialize in the beautiful surroundings of the Fruška Terme Hotel and the ethno settlement of Vrdnik Kula.

On 17th and 18th January 2020 in Belgrade, the Vemax Pharma company, with the support of the FizioVračar emergency clinic team, trained the first group of 9 students within the course for intra-articular administration of medicines and medical products.

The professional part of the course, consisting of a theoretical introduction, practical work on knee models, and practical work with patients, was conducted by assistant professor Vladan Stevanović, MD, the Institute of orthopedic Surgery Banjica (an ESSKA certified trainer for Serbia) and assistant professor Miodrag Glišić, MD, the Institute of orthopedic Surgery Banjica.

The extraordinary energy and motivated students on the one hand, and the lecturer’s highly professional approach on the other, contributed to the evaluation of this course by participants – physiatrists, orthopedists, sports medicine specialists – as one of the most useful in their professional careers. There is high interest in the followup course that is intended to be held at the same place.

We are proud of the fact that this is the first educational training of this kind in Serbia and that the realization of this project will continue in Belgrade, as well as in other cities of Serbia and the region.

At Hotel President in Novi Sad, in front of more than 70 participants – physicians of different specialties from Novi Sad and all other Vojvodina cities, a professional meeting was held at which the Vemax Pharma company presented the therapeutic possibilities of the product Selitop®.

This product with a selenium dose of 200 mcg (L-selenmethionine) is widely used, especially in treatments of thyroid diseases. Eminent experts – endocrinologists and ophthalmologists from the Clinical Center of Vojvodina delivered lectures on the following topics:

The meeting of the Neurosurgical Section of the Serbian Medical Society, organized by the Clinic for Neurosurgery of the Clinical Center of Niš, was held at the Nais Hotel on December 7th, 2019.

The XII/XVIII National Congress organized by the Society of Serbian Neurologists was held in Vrnjačka Banja between 28 November and 1 December 2019.

Organized by the Diabetes Association of Serbia and the Diabetes Board of the Serbian Medical Society, with the support from the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade, the Serbian Academy of Arts and Sciences and other professional associations, the 11th Serbian Congress on Diabetes with international participation was held in Belgrade between 24 and 27 November 2019. The congress brought together more than 500 physicians from the country and the region, including the most prominent speakers on diabetes and comorbidity in patients with diabetes.

The Vemax Pharma company arranged a showroom self-presentation at which, among other things, we presented preliminary affirmative mini-study results in the clinical application of Combinerv® in patients with diabetic polineuropathy, and of Cardiovasc plus® in the treatment of hyperlipidemia and hypercholesterolemia in patients with metabolic syndrome.

The aforementioned mini-studies were conducted at the Clinic for Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism Diseases of the Clinical Center of Serbia, under the direction of prof. dr. Aleksandra Jotić and prof. dr. Katarina Lalić.
