Glycovital Max
A specially designed formulation intended as a support in the treatment of: Insulin resistance, Prediabetes, Metabolic syndrome
Glycovital Max
A continuous and regular use of Glycovital Max products prevents or postpones all the complications accompanying the three mentioned conditions.
1. Insulin resistance
The state in which cells in peripheral tissues of the human body (muscles, fatty tissue, liver…) do not respond well to insulin and cannot receive glucose from blood easily. Consequently, the pancreas produces much more insulin than usual to provide an adequate supply of glucose to the peripheral tissue cells and, consequently, sufficient amounts of energy.
The most common symptoms that indicate insulin resistance are:
- Constant hunger
- Having difficulty losing weight even on a diet regimen
- Frequent urination
- Elevated blood pressure
- Chronic fatigue and weak concentration
- High level of cholesterol
- Blurred vision
Risk factors for the occurrence of insulin resistance are:
- Genetic heritage – people whose close family members have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus
- Age – especially past 45 years of age
- Poor nutrition (irregular nutrition, diet rich in sugars and fats)
- Frequent consummation of carbonated and sweet juices
- Excessive body weight (BMI greater than 25)
- Chronic stress
- Smoking and alcohol consumption
2. Prediabetes
It is a condition of aggravated insulin resistance when the pancreas is exhausted in the process insulin production and is no longer able to meet the constantly increasing need for insulin. As a result, there is an increased concentration of blood glucose in the range of 6–7 mmol/L (a higher-than-normal concentration of blood glucose, which is still not high enough for the diagnosis of type 2 diabetes mellitus).
The following are the symptoms of prediabetes:
- Constant thirst and consequent intake of large quantities of water
- Frequent urination
- Constant hunger – especially increased craving for sweets
- Slow wound healing
- Blurred vision
- Tingling in the arms and the legs
- Vertigo
- Irritability
Prediabetes can be diagnosed through laboratory blood analyses:
- Quick test to determine the blood glucose level – the value between 6 and 7 mmol/L
- Oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT)
- The glycated hemoglobin test (HbA1c test) – the most reliable test for the diagnosis of prediabetes – value between 6% and 6.4%
3. Metabolic syndrome
A complex condition the diagnosis of which requires a minimum of 3 of the following 5 criteria to be met:
- Excessive body weight: for men, waist size greater than 94–102 cm; for women, waist size greater than 84 cm
- Elevated blood pressure: higher than 130/85 mmHg and/or therapy hypertension
- High fasting blood sugar level: greater than 5.6 mmol/L
- High triglyceride values: greater than 1.7 mol/L
- Lower HDL cholesterol values: for women, values lower than 1.29 mmol/L; for men: values lower than 1.03 mmol/L
If these conditions are not detected and the treatment is not administered in a timely manner, in 8 out of every 10 cases the following complications will occur:
- Type 2 diabetes mellitus
- Cardiovascular diseases – coronary artery diseases, cerebrovascular diseases, elevated blood pressure, angina pectoris, cardiac arrest/a stroke
- Fatty liver
- Kidney disease
- Polycystic ovary syndrome
- Dementia
- Certain types of carcinoma
Treatment:
- introducing mandatory physical activities:
minimum 30 min. daily (power walking, moderate running, light exercises); - introducing a healthy diet:
Higher intake of leafy, green vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower), fruit (lemon, orange, avocado, apple, pear), veal, kid goat meat, eggs, chicken, turkey, duck, salmon, sardine, mackerel, tuna, olive oil.

regulation of elevated blood pressure, high triglycerides, high total cholesterol, increasing the HDL cholesterol - avoiding stressful situations
- giving up smoking and alcohol consumption
- healthy sleep (ideally seven hours of sleep) and a regular circadian rhythm
- taking adequate supplements – Glycovital Max
