  • Persons under greater physical strain
  • People who are at risk of developing osteoarthritis – elderly patients, obese people, athletes, in order to prevent the development of the disease
  • For elderly patients with osteoarthritis

ArthroMax® has the following effects:

  • It contributes to the normal formation of collagen, necessary for the formation of cartilage
  • It relieves the symptoms of osteoarthritis and allows better joint mobility
  • Reduces inflammation
  • It has an analgesic effect
  • It reduces the need to use additional therapeutic options
  • It has a favorable safety profile

Method of use (dosage):

Adults: take 1 to 3 capsules per day, for at least 3 months continuously.

Packaging:

They do not contain lactose and gluten.

Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM)

  • Natural sulfur compound
  • It is used to improve the health of joints, skin, hair, nails and general health
  • It is present in all tissues as an integral part of connective tissue – 50% in muscles, skin and bones
  • ArthroMax® contains the purest, softest and most durable form of MSM with proven effectiveness
  • The main function is to build and restore connective tissue and enable normal joint function. MSM has a strong analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect in all joint, tendon and cartilage injuries.

Terminalia chebula (Haritaki)

  • Chebulic myrobalan is a deciduous tree native to South Asia
  • Described effects: antioxidant, antiproliferative, anti-inflammatory, proapoptotic, antidiabetic…
  • ArthroMax® contains a clinically proven extract obtained from the edible fruit of Terminalia chebulae with a high level of tannins and flavonoids
  • It is clinically proven, water soluble, vegetarian, organic, non-GMO

Glucosamine

High-quality glucosamine of plant origin, which does not upset the stomach or cause allergic reactions associated with glucosamine isolated from shellfish.

Chondroitin sulfate

It is found in the cartilage of animals and fish, while in humans this substance is mostly synthesized by chondrocytes of long bones, incorporated into complex proteoglycans and excreted into the extracellular matrix of bones. Chondroitin sulfate is necessary for maintaining the structural integrity of tissues, primarily skin and cartilage. Cartilage deficiency is associated with the onset of osteoarthritis.

Hyaluronic acid

A typical glycosaminoglycan composed of disaccharide units consisting of sodium glucuronate and N-acetylglucosamine. It is found in connective tissues and joints and serves as a lubricant. It has a lubricating, anti-inflammatory, analgesic and chondroprotective effect.

Vitamin C – Enables the process of collagen formation, contributing to the normal function of bones and cartilage
Zinc – Contributes to the maintenance of normal bone structure
Manganese – Contributes to the maintenance of normal bone function and normal structure of connective tissue
Copper – Contributes to the maintenance of the normal structure of the connective tissue
Folate – Contributes to the maintenance of the normal function of the immune system
Vitamin D3 – Contributes to the resorption/usability process of calcium and phosphorus and to the maintenance of normal blood calcium levels. Vitamin D contributes to the maintenance of normal bone structure

Osteoarthrosis

Osteoarthrosis is a chronic, degenerative disease of joints followed by chronic pain, limited motion and impaired doing of everyday activities.

In the joint itself, the damaging and loss of joint tissue occur, as well as the thickening of a bone immediately below the cartilage and the formation of new bony excrescence on the edges of the joint.

The disease is equally common in both men and women, although after the age of 55 it is more common in women.

Degenerative changes in the joints can be noticed even in the persons between 15 and 35 years old. Then they are most often the consequence of an injury of the ligament apparatus of a knee (anterior cruciate ligament, meniscus) or the consequence of the exceeded usage of joints during sports activities, especially on hard courts and surfaces.

The main symptoms of osteoarthrosis
  • a pain in the joint that occurs after its usage and that slowly disappears when resting the feeling of joint stiffness after getting up in the morning or during the day after a longer rest (lasts shorter than 30 minutes)
  • the feeling of instability
  • motion limitation and
  • inability to perform certain actions
Clinical signs
  • sensitivity to touch at the joint edges
  • “cracking“ when moving
  • enlargement of bone and soft tissue mass
  • limited and painful movements
  • deformations

Hip and knee joints (gonartrosis and coxatrosis) are the most commonly attacked.

It is rarely a case of osteoarthrosis of the joints of the wrist and small hand joints, osteoarthrosis on the level of the spinal column, as well as of the shoulders.

Diagnosis

The diagnosis is most commonly set on the basis of the symptoms and signs of the disease, X-ray image and laboratory examination of blood and urine.

Treatment

The treatment of osteoarthrosis is complex.

First, it means:

  • the maintenance of the optimal body mass
  • everyday workout
  • usage of orthopaedic aid (crutches, cane) and shoe insoles
  • as well as the methods of physical therapy

When pharmacological treatment is concerned, it includes:

  • the usage of medicines that treats the pain symptomatically (analgesics, antirheumatic drugs) and
  • the usage of chondroprotectors which, besides treating the pain symptomatically, can slow down the progression of the disease

recently, there are more and more active substances of natural origin that have their proved place in the symptomatic treatment of this disease. They are used either independently or in a combination, in order to achieve the most effective symptomatic effect in the patient with osteoarthrosis
